Second up in our interviews via Twitter is Manchester photographer Matthew Comer

Matthew Comer is a freelance photographer born in Manchester 1981. He grew up in Whitefield with his older brother, Christian and Sister, Sharon. His mother Cherry, a fashion designer, and his father Terry, also a photographer, played a huge part in Matthew’s creativity.

Tell us about the last photograph you took?
The last photo I took was of a block of flats. I am collecting photos for an exhibition I am doing 30th April and I am using blocks of flats
You’ve spent a bit of time in NYC, how do you think it compares to Manchester?
NY is my home from home. Manchester is my home. Mcr is a mini NYC. It has it’s little districts just like NYC. The Culture is similar too.
What’s the interesting assignment you’ve been sent on?
Collecting all my work from traveling across America was the most interesting by far. The people,the places, the whole experience was unreal
What has been your biggest achievement in life?
My biggest life achievement so far? also the road trip. I drove over 11 Thousand miles.Then to be able to display it all in urban outfitters
Toast or Crumpets?
Crumpets by far. Warburtons though! There is no competiton! Loads of butter.
