Good For The Soul

Set in 1974, Stoke On Trent, SoulBoy tells the story of 17 year-old Joe McCain (played by rising star, Martin Compston), and his quest to bring some excitement into his life. With a backdrop of power cuts, trouble on the football terraces, and most intriguingly, coach trips to all-nighters at The Wigan Casino, SoulBoy promises to be an entertaining depiction of the Northern Soul scene.

Despite the love interests provided by young British actresses, Nichola Burley and Felicity Jones, and a cameo by Huey Morgan (Fun Lovin Criminals, BBC 6 Music, The Underdog Show), it is the dancing and fond nostalgia, that are sure to emerge the stars.

SoulBoy will be out in cinemas on August 27th.
